要旨
帆は風に押されて進むのだから、風より速くは走れない。そう思える。本稿が示すのは走る向きを変えるだけで頭打ちが消えることである。風も帆も一切変えていない。新しい定理も法則も主張しない。
第一に、真風下では、艇速が風速 $10$ m/s に達した瞬間に見かけの風が $\mathbf{0.000000}$ m/s になる（第2節）。
第二に、真風に直角に走ると、艇速 $10$ m/s でも見かけの風は $\mathbf{14.1421}$ m/s ある（第2節）。
第三に、これが本稿の芯である。艇速 $50$ m/s では見かけの風が $\mathbf{50.9902}$ m/s、速くなるほど強くなり、上限が無い（第2節）。
第四に、上限を決めるのは帆と艇の抗力角の和で、氷上艇なら $\mathbf{4.4444}$ 倍である（第3節）。
第五に、帆だけを良くしても足りない。式は帆と艇について対称である（第3節）。
第六に、分離子は「進む向きが真風と平行か、そうでないか」である（第5節）。
Abstract
A sail is pushed by the wind, so a boat cannot outrun the wind（so it seems.This paper shows that changing only the heading removes the cap）neither the wind nor the sail is altered at all.No new theorem or law is claimed.
First, dead downwind, the apparent wind reaches $\mathbf{0.000000}$ m/s the instant the boat matches the $10$ m/s wind (Section 2).
Second, across the wind, a boat doing $10$ m/s still feels $\mathbf{14.1421}$ m/s (Section 2).
Third, and this is the core of the paper.At $50$ m/s the apparent wind is $\mathbf{50.9902}$ m/s、stronger the faster you go, with no ceiling (Section 2).
Fourth, the ceiling is set by the sum of the drag angles of sail and craft, giving $\mathbf{4.4444}$ for an ice boat (Section 3).
Fifth, improving the sail alone is not enough: the formula is symmetric in sail and craft (Section 3).
Sixth, the separator is whether the heading is parallel to the true wind or not (Section 5).
