要旨
本稿が問うのは、為替の「出来高足」と「ティック足」が同じものか、である。新しい数学定理も新しい法則も主張しない。
第一に、★★ 恒等的に同じである。 足の切れ目の一致率は四銘柄とも 1.0000 で、本数も 2,183,483・2,184,429・2,183,491・2,090,836 と一本残らず同じである（第3節）。
第二に、★ 数値が近いから同根なのではない。定義が同じだから同じなのである。 為替の出来高はティックの本数なので、「出来高が N たまった」と「ティックが N 来た」は同じ文である（第3節）。
第三に、これが本稿の芯である。★★ 積むものを値動きに変えると、たちまち別物になる。 一致率は 0.0135 へ、74.2 分の一に落ちる（第4節）。
第四に、★ 分離子は「何を積んだか」であって、刻みの大きさではない。 本数をそろえても、切れ目はほとんど一致しない（第4節）。
第五に、★★ ただし私の言い方が不正確だった。値動きで積む足が一定にしているのは経路の長さであって、一本の値動きではない。 一本の値動きの散らばりは 15.36 で、ティック足の 16.85 とほとんど変わらない（第5節）。
第六に、★ 合成乱数でも一致率は 1.0000 である。 恒等式なので当然であり、一致したことは検算であって発見ではない（第6節）。
Abstract
What this paper asks is whether a "volume bar" and a "tick bar" in foreign exchange are the same thing. No new mathematical theorem and no new law is claimed.
First, ★★ they are identically the same. The bar edges match at 1.0000 for all four instruments, and the counts are 2,183,483, 2,184,429, 2,183,491 and 2,090,836 on both sides (Section 3).
Second, ★ they are not the same because the numbers came out close; they are the same because the definitions are. Volume in foreign exchange is the tick count, so "N of volume accumulated" and "N ticks arrived" are the same sentence (Section 3).
Third, and this is the core of the paper: ★★ change what is accumulated to the move and it becomes a different thing at once. The match drops to 0.0135, a factor of 74.2 (Section 4).
Fourth, ★ the separator is what was accumulated, not how large the step is. Even with the counts matched, the edges hardly coincide (Section 4).
Fifth, ★★ one thing I put badly, though: what a range bar holds constant is the path length, not the move per bar. The spread of the move per bar is 15.36, barely below the tick bars' 16.85 (Section 5).
Sixth, ★ the match is 1.0000 on a synthetic random walk too. It is an identity, so agreement here is a check, not a finding (Section 6).
