要旨
建物の横からの力に対しては「壁を増やせばよい」と言われる。本稿は、量が同じでも置き方で答が変わることを数える。新しい定理も法則も主張しない。
第一に、力が掛かる点と、壁が抵抗する点は別である。力は重心 $x=5$ に掛かり、壁は剛性で重みをつけた剛心のまわりで抵抗する（第2節）。
第二に、釣り合って置けば床はねじれない。左右 $2.0$・$2.0$ では剛心が重心と重なり、変位は両側とも $0.25$ である（第2節）。
第三に、これが本稿の芯である。量が同じでも、偏らせると柔らかい側が大きく動く。$3.5$・$0.5$ では柔らかい側の変位が $\mathbf{1.913043}$ 倍、$3.9$・$0.1$ では $\mathbf{2.687927}$ 倍になる（第3節）。
第四に、柔らかい側の壁は、力が小さいのに変位が大きい。$3.5$・$0.5$ で柔らかい側の壁の力は $0.239130$、変位は $0.478261$ である（第3節）。
第五に、力と直角の向きの壁まで働く。横からの力しか掛けていないのに、直角の向きの壁に $\mathbf{0.260870}$ の力がかかる（第3節）。
第六に、分離子は、量を問うか、配置を問うかである。剛性の和はどの配置でも $4.0$ で、変わったのは置き場所だけである（第4節）。

Abstract
Against sideways forces on a building, the advice is “add more wall”.This paper counts that the answer changes with layout even when the amount is the same.No new theorem or law is claimed.
First, where the force acts and where the walls resist are different points: the force acts at the centre of mass $x=5$; the walls resist about the stiffness-weighted centre of rigidity (Section 2).
Second, a balanced layout does not twist: with $2.0$ and $2.0$ the centres coincide and both sides move $0.25$ (Section 2).
Third, and this is the core. With the same amount, an uneven layout moves the soft side far more: $\mathbf{1.913043}$ times at $3.5$ and $0.5$, and $\mathbf{2.687927}$ times at $3.9$ and $0.1$ (Section 3).
Fourth, the soft-side wall carries little force yet moves a lot: at $3.5$ and $0.5$ its force is $0.239130$ and its displacement $0.478261$ (Section 3).
Fifth, walls at right angles to the push also work: with only a sideways force applied, the perpendicular walls pick up $\mathbf{0.260870}$ (Section 3).
Sixth, the separator is whether one asks about amount or about layout: total stiffness is $4.0$ in every layout; only placement changed (Section 4).
