要旨
自動車の保有台数（令和8年6月末）と、自動車整備業の事業所数（令和3年 経済センサス）を都道府県ごとに突き合わせ、整備工場1軒あたりの保有台数を出した。
46都道府県の合計で 1,728.2台。いちばん多いのは滋賀県の 3,144.2台、いちばん少ないのは青森県の 1,085.7台で、2.9倍の開きがある。
人口あたりの車が多い県ほど、1軒あたりの台数はむしろ少ない（r = −0.290）。車の多い地域では、台数が多いこと以上に整備工場の数が多い。
北海道は 1,614.8台で46都道府県中27位、ほぼ中位である。
沖縄県は、この保有台数の統計に含まれない。
Abstract
Matching the number of registered vehicles (as of the end of June 2026) with the number of motor vehicle repair establishments (2021 Economic Census) by prefecture, I computed the number of registered vehicles per repair establishment.
Across the 46 prefectures covered, the figure is 1,728.2. The highest is Shiga at 3,144.2 and the lowest is Aomori at 1,085.7、a 2.9-fold difference.
Where there are more vehicles per resident, there are fewer vehicles per shop (r = −0.290). In car-dependent areas, the number of repair shops rises more than the number of vehicles does.
Hokkaido is 1,614.8, ranking 27th of 46、near the middle.
Okinawa is not covered by this vehicle statistic.
