要旨

「臨界次元」は一つの数だと思われている。本稿が示すのは、上と下で二つの数があり、機構も違うことである。上は $\mathbf{4}$ で紫外側、下は $\mathbf{2}$ で赤外側の話である。新しい定理も法則も主張しない。

第一に、$\int_{\varepsilon}^{1}k^{d-3}dk$ は $\varepsilon=10^{-6}$ で $d=1$ が $\mathbf{999999.000000}$、$d=2$ が $\mathbf{13.815511}$、$d=3$ が $\mathbf{0.999999}$、$d=4$ が $\mathbf{0.500000}$ になる（第2節）。

第二に、$d=3$ の値は厳密に $1-\varepsilon$ であり、$\varepsilon$ を下げると $1$ へ収束する（第2節）。

第三に、これが本稿の芯である。境目は $d=2$ ちょうどである。$d=2.01$ は $24.142242$ で収束し、$d=1.99$ は $31.8257$ で発散側にいる（第2節）。

第四に、$d=2$ の発散は対数である。$\varepsilon$ を $10^{4}$ 分の $1$ にするたび、増分が $\mathbf{9.210340}$ で揃う（第3節）。

第五に、ボース気体の励起数も同じ境目を持つ、$d=2$ で $13.586173$ と発散し、$d=3$ で $0.849847$ に収まる（第3節）。

第六に、分離子は「紫外を切るか、赤外を切るか」である（第4節）。

Abstract

The critical dimension is taken to be one number.This paper shows that there are two, above and below, with different mechanisms、above is $\mathbf{4}$ and concerns the ultraviolet, below is $\mathbf{2}$ and concerns the infrared.No new theorem or law is claimed.

First, $\int_{\varepsilon}^{1}k^{d-3}dk$ at $\varepsilon=10^{-6}$ gives $\mathbf{999999.000000}$ for $d=1$, $\mathbf{13.815511}$ for $d=2$, $\mathbf{0.999999}$ for $d=3$ and $\mathbf{0.500000}$ for $d=4$ (Section 2).

Second, the $d=3$ value is exactly $1-\varepsilon$ and tends to $1$ as $\varepsilon$ falls (Section 2).

Third, this is the core of the paper.The boundary sits exactly at $d=2$、$d=2.01$ converges at $24.142242$ while $d=1.99$ lies on the divergent side at $31.8257$ (Section 2).

Fourth, the divergence at $d=2$ is logarithmic、each division of $\varepsilon$ by $10^{4}$ adds the same $\mathbf{9.210340}$ (Section 3).

Fifth, the Bose gas has the same boundary、its excited-state count diverges at $13.586173$ for $d=2$ and settles at $0.849847$ for $d=3$ (Section 3).

Sixth, the separator is whether the cut is ultraviolet or infrared (Section 4).
